SELAH Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Elevate Management Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use SELAH (the "App"), available on iOS and Android.
By using SELAH, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information — when you sign in via email/password, Google, or Apple, we collect your email address and (depending on the provider) your name and profile photo.
- Subscription information — when you subscribe, Apple or Google processes the transaction. We receive a confirmation token from RevenueCat (our subscription platform) but never your payment card details.
- User content — playlists you create, verses you bookmark, and preferences you set (volume levels, ambient track choice, etc.).
- Optional feedback — when you contact us via in-app feedback or email, we receive whatever you choose to share.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information — device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, anonymized device identifier. This is collected for crash reporting (Sentry) and analytics (PostHog or similar, post-launch).
- Crash and error data — when the app crashes or hits an error, we receive a stack trace plus the recent in-app actions ("breadcrumbs") that preceded it. This data may include screen names you visited and buttons you tapped.
- Subscription analytics — RevenueCat tracks subscription events (start, renewal, cancellation) tied to an anonymized device or user ID.
1.3 Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your real name unless you provide it.
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, or camera.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect data from minors under 13 (see Section 9).
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide the App's features (audio Bible playback, playlists, ambient music, custom playlists)
- Authenticate your account and remember your preferences across devices
- Process subscription payments and grant Pro access
- Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
- Respond to support requests
- Send essential service emails (e.g., subscription confirmations, password resets) — never marketing without separate opt-in
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share your information
We share information only as follows:

We do not sell your information. We do not share with advertisers. We do not share with data brokers.
We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect SELAH's rights, property, or safety.
4. Data retention
- Account information: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
- User content (playlists, preferences): same as account.
- Subscription records: retained for 7 years for tax / accounting compliance, even after account deletion (anonymized after 30 days).
- Crash and error data: retained for 90 days, then auto-deleted by Sentry.
- Support emails: retained for 2 years for support continuity.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent — for any processing based on consent

Region-specific rights
- EU/UK (GDPR): the rights above apply. Lawful bases for processing are contract performance (account, subscriptions), legitimate interest (crash analytics, service emails), and consent (optional analytics).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
- Other jurisdictions: we honor analogous local rights where they apply (Canada PIPEDA, Brazil LGPD, etc.).
6. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted (TLS)
- Account passwords are hashed using bcrypt (handled by Supabase Auth)
- Access to production systems is restricted via multi-factor authentication
- We maintain audit logs of administrative actions
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by law.
7. International data transfers
SELAH is operated from the United States. Data is processed primarily in the U.S. (Supabase, RevenueCat, Sentry are U.S.-based). If you are outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
For EU/UK users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for cross-border transfers. By using SELAH, you consent to this transfer.
8. Third-party links and services
The App may include credit links to ambient music sources (e.g., Pixabay) or scripture references. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
9. Children's privacy
SELAH is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please email support@selahmeditationapp.com and we will delete it promptly.
In the EU/UK, the relevant age is 16 (or as determined by member state law). In countries where local law requires parental consent for users under 16, we follow that law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify users of material changes via in-app notice or email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.

- Your data is stored in the U.S. via Supabase, RevenueCat, and Sentry.
- Kids under 13 shouldn't use the app.
